One of the Most Fun Vehicles We Have Owned

If you’ve never owned a GTI, you are missing out. After owning a Camaro and Corvette (I still own the Corvette), the GTI is a breath of fresh air. Cool to look at, go-cart handling and performance, this car puts a smile on your face every time you drive it. A great car for anything from commuting to road trips to simply opening the windows and panoramic sunroof, turning up the tunes, and mashing the accelerator. Under real-world use, car returns an average of 25-26 mpg in town and up to 39 on the highway, though the average there is about 37. Quality of the interior is unmatched by anything this side of a BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus. The vehicle is always garaged and holding up well over the 5 years and 82,000 miles it has been in service. We did have to replace the water pump (covered under our extended warranty) and have had a few minor issues with the push-button start and window controllers but, other than that, there have been no major issues. Probably going to pass the car along to our teenager when he heads to college in a couple of years, but are seriously considering replacing it with another one; it has been that much fun and a pleasurable owner experience. Would definitely recommend this car to a friend. ** As an added bonus, all Volkswagens now come with a 6-year/72,000 mile warranty from the factory. (Should cover your first 4-5 years of ownership.) - 5.0
Great Vehicle

Have owned my 2016 GTI for 3 years now and what a great vehicle. Good performance with torquey turbo 4 and have achieved up to 40 MPG on the highway. Hatch with fold down rear seats acts like a small SUV when you need it. Gotta love those Clark plaid seats as well. A fun to drive, practical vehicle.
